Cubs Alpha 12 Months to 24 Months is a magical age! This is when the child becomes self aware, they start to understand and engage in the world around them, start having opinions and feelings, develop likes and dislikes, and learn what it means to have and deal with emotions.
At this age we like to focus on social and emotional intelligence, teach little ones what each emotion means and how to express, understand, and release these emotions in a positive way.
This is the “NO” stage but it is a no because they are not being understood and that is when Future Thinkers Academy comes in to teach social and emotional intelligence to the little ones and help parents understand how to better navigate difficult behaviors.

Cubs Alpha (12M -24M) Focus
When children begin walking alone, are off bottles, and on one nap a day, they graduate to our Cubs Alpha Room. At this age children develop a need for independence where they want to explore and investigate the world around them but still require the one-on-one affection and attention. Our Cub Alpha’s are encouraged to explore and investigate new things with the guidance, encouragement, and support from their educators. At this age, a more structured schedule is also introduced. This helps children feel more secure by providing them with a sense of time and expectation of things to come. Our Cub Alpha’s classroom focuses on building practical skills, fine and gross motor development, language, social and emotional learning, and a high focus on emotional learning and understanding. Our Classroom is equipped with age -appropriate toys, activity centers, music and movement, sensory play, and much more. Early intervention practices continue in our Club Alpha classroom as well where the educator and parent work hand in hand to make sure all developmental milestones are being met. Little Lions (2 Y- 3 Y) Focus
In the Our Little Lions Classroom, children have more opportunities for growth and development through engaging activity centers and structured playtime. Circle time and teacher-led activities become a more prominent part of the daily routine. As children gain greater independence at this age, they are encouraged to explore and learn with minimal guidance. Older toddlers begin learning from their behaviors and decisions, experimenting with new things, getting messy, and practicing how to clean up. A significant milestone this year is potty training, and our trained staff works closely with parents to support each child in reaching this important goal.Developmental Screenings
